When Your Spring Goes Bang, Call Dang O’ Dang
I’ll come right out and say I never thought that I would have so much fun at a garage door installation! The folks at Dang O’ Dang Garage Doors out of Wimberley, TX (and serving the surrounding Hill Country) are fascinating to watch work and knowledgeable about what they do. Did it occur to me that most garage doors are lifted by giant spring physics? No. Did I suspect it was gnomes? I’d obviously never admit to that. Regardless, Conner Kelley and his team had the installation of a beautiful set of garage doors well in hand. From hefting panels of metal and glass to precision placement to solving the general woes contractors find themselves constantly facing, it was awesome to see someone with that level of understanding of all parts of the process. If you get me talking about work for any longer than about 15 seconds, you’ll often hear me declare that everyone looks cool being good at what they do. I’ll say it over and over again in my posts, but it’s only because I believe it so strongly. People talk all of the time about how confidence impacts the way a person is perceived, but I’d add competence to the list of things that can strike a viewer right in the feels.
